A number of television programmes have included references to Aston Villa over the past few decades. In the sitcom Porridge, the character Lennie Godber is a Villa supporter.[103] When filming began on Dad's Army, Villa fan Ian Lavender was allowed to choose Frank Pike's scarf from an array in the BBC wardrobe; he chose a claret and blue one—Aston Villa's colours.[104] The character Nessa in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey was revealed as an Aston Villa fan in an episode screened in December 2009.[105] In the BBC series "Yes Minister" / "Yes Prime Minister", the Minister's local team was Aston Villa: Jim Hacker was the Member of Parliament for Birmingham East, and in the first episode (Open Government (Yes Minister)) he makes reference to the team in complaining that his new civil servants have given him too much work on his first day on the job: "Villa's at home to Liverpool!" In a later episode (The Middle-Class Rip-Off), the fictional Club Chairman, Harry Sutton, describes the teams' history when attempting to persuade the Minister to rescue the club from imminent bankruptcy: "Look at our history. FA Cup Winners, League Champions, one of the first teams ever into Europe."

Nick talks about the importance of parenting in early childhood and it's significance in overcoming hopelessness. Willpower is a driving force for making our big dreams come true, but if we don't get a miracle in life, we can always be a miracle to someone else.

Nick Vujicic was born in Australia to a Serbian immigrant family, with a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. Most of his childhood he struggled with depression, and after a suicide attempt he decided to concentrate on what he did have instead on what he didn't. He realized that his life story inspires many people.

How Does A Country Become Rich?

Singapore is one of only a handful of countries to have managed it in the past half century. A colonial outpost now has the third highest average income in the world. How did it do it? And why are social tensions now showing?
It may surprise you to know that Singapore has more millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the world. One in six households are in the millionaire club. They come to this city-state by design. The government offers low taxes, raising their revenues through a property tax on the expensive, multi-million dollar houses of the ultra-rich. In return the rich spend - boosting the local economy's shops, restaurants and even a Universal Studios.

This Is The Moment When Russian Money Started Flowing Into Cyprus

There are tax havens all over the world, so why is Cyprus so special to Russia? It all goes back to a tax agreement made at the end of President Boris Yeltsin's administration in 1998.
The year is mostly remembered for the horrible collapse of the Russian economy. What's less remembered is that, in the years before the crisis, Yeltsin had been trying to reform the tax code to make it more centralized. Those reforms became more vital as the economy deteriorated.

5 Reasons Your Internet Business Should be Based in Hong Kong — Even if You Are in the USA

I often say “location independent” isn’t location arbitrary. Your location matters. If you’ve got a little freedom to move around, you should use it to benefit your business.
Ian and I have been interested in offshore corporations for just over a year now. Before that time, our discussions on business structure revolved around LLC vs C-corp and California vs. Delaware. We heard about offshore corporations, but we thought they were the domain of the rich and powerful– the jetset and ballin’.
That’s changing. The barrier to entry is lower than ever. The information is out there. It’s feasible for most internet business owners to get set up in Hong Kong, Singapore, the British Virgin Islands, or elsewhere. If you run your business from your laptop, you can enjoy the same benefits that the rich, powerful, and jetset have for decades.

Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, originally consisting of Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg and three siblings, Jonas "Joker" Berggren, Malin "Linn" Berggren and Jenny Berggren. They released four studio albums between 1992 and 2002, which sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making them the third-most successful band from Sweden of all time, after ABBA and Roxette.
Happy Nation / The Sign is one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, and was certified nine times platinum in the United States.[1] It was the first debut album to produce three number 1 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart: "All That She Wants", "The Sign" and "Don't Turn Around".[2]
Following the formal departure of singer Linn in 2007, the band performed a series of concerts as a trio in Europe and Asia from 2007 through 2009. Jenny revealed in November 2009 that she would be taking indefinite leave from the band to focus on a solo career.[3] In 2009, Jonas and Ulf recruited two new female vocalists, Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson, and released The Golden Ratio in September 2010.

He helped to shape the derelict Docklands into the economic powerhouse of Canary Wharf ,and added the last bit of concrete to No 1 Poultry in London.
"People think we just sit up there pulling a lever in between doing nothing, but you have to be on the ball and competent to operate a crane," he says.

FAST-GROWING IRISH FIN-TECH firm TransferMate has set its sights on handling $100 billion in clients’ currency transfers.
“I would say a target of $100 billion is achievable,” managing director and co-founder Barry Dowling said. ”When we hit that depends on how fast we can take on staff and how fast we can grow the business.”
The Kilkenny-based foreign exchange company today announced plans to hire another 25 workers in sales and business development jobs at its headquarters as it lifts its global workforce to 150.
It follows the firm hiring 25 people for its 24-hour call centre in Kilkenny between January and April this year.
Despite launching in only 2010, TransferMate has already set up offices across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, and last summer it passed the milestone of processing $5 billion in foreign transfers.

There Is A Strap On Sandal On My Head

When Alexander the Great united the Greeks in the fourth century B.C.E., the resulting society was one of great wealth and leisure that developed the arts, sciences, and sports under a democratic system. The Greeks also developed many different types of sandals and other styles of footwear, giving names to the various styles. Fortunately the Greeks kept thorough records, thereby giving accurate descriptions and references to the various styles of footwear and what those names were. This is indeed fortuitous as archaeological examples of Greek footwear are nonexistent, and historians must work from these descriptions and from those styles portrayed in surviving artwork. There were strict rules as to who could wear what, when, and for what purpose.
Sandals used during the early Roman Empire were very similar to the Greek styles and even followed the same precedents set for restricted use according to the citizen's rank in society. Like the Greeks, the Romans named the various styles, and in fact, "sandal" comes from its Latin name sandalium.

There Is A Tin Of Pilchards On My Head

In the United States, the sardine canning industry peaked in the 1950s. Since then, the industry has been on the decline. The canneries in Monterey Bay, in what was known as Cannery Row, failed in the mid-1950s. The last large sardine cannery in the United States, the Stinson Seafood plant in Prospect HarborMaine, closed its doors on 15 April 2010 after 135 years in operation.[57]
Pilchard fishing and processing became a thriving industry in Cornwall (UK) from around 1750 to around 1880, after which it went into decline. As of 2007, however, stocks are improving.[58] Since 1997, sardines from Cornwall have been sold as "Cornish sardines", and since March 2010, under EU law, Cornish sardines have Protected Geographical Status.[59] The industry has featured in numerous works of art, particularly by Stanhope Forbes and other Newlyn School artists.
The traditional "Toast to Pilchards" refers to the lucrative export of the fish to Catholic Europe;
Here's health to the Pope, may he live to repent
And add just six months to the term of his Lent
And tell all his vassals from Rome to the Poles,
There's nothing like pilchards for saving their souls!

According to the Food and Beverage Reporter, "On the new labels, each flavor has its own color represented by a graphic shape inspired by the petals of the rooibos tea bush bud. Rooibos tea, also known as red tea, bush tea and redbush tea, is one of the hottest trends in the tea industry.".[7]

  • Unsweetened
The most well-known of the flavors, Watermelon Mint, has earned multiple accolades in the tea industry. In the 2011 North American Tea Championship, Rooibee Red Tea's Watermelon Mint won the Ready-To-Drink-Flavored/ Sweetened Herbal category.[8] This flavor also won "Best Non-Alcoholic Beverage" at the 2010 Taste of the Bluegrass, an event that honors the best food and drinks from Kentucky.[9] Watermelon Mint was also reviewed by "SuperMarket Guru" Philip Lempert, who gave the tea a score of 91 based on taste, value, health, ingredients, preparation, appearance, packaging, and sustainability.[10] The Unsweetened flavor also provides a zero-calorie option in the line.

There Is A Bag Of Rice On My Head

There Is A Bag Of Rice On My Head

There Is A Bag Of Rice On My Head

Brown rice and white rice have similar amounts of calories and carbohydrates. The main differences between the two forms of rice lie in processing and nutritional content.
When only the outermost layer of a grain of rice (the husk) is removed, brown rice is produced. To produce white rice, the next layers underneath the husk (the bran layer and the germ) are removed, leaving mostly the starchy endosperm.
Several vitamins and dietary minerals are lost in this removal and the subsequent polishing process. A part of these missing nutrients, such as vitamin B1vitamin B3, and iron are sometimes added back into the white rice making it "enriched", as food suppliers in the US are required to do by the Food and Drug Administration.[7][not in citation given]
One mineral not added back into white rice is magnesium; one cup (195 g) of cooked long grain brown rice contains 84 mg of magnesium while one cup of white rice contains 19 mg.
When the bran layer is removed to make white rice, the oil in the bran is also removed. Rice bran oil may help lowerLDL cholesterol.[8]
Among other key sources of nutrition lost are dietary fiber and small amounts of fatty acids.

There Is A Toilet Roll On My Head

Toilet paper is a tissue paper product primarily used for cleaning the anus of fecal material after defecation or to remove remaining droplets of urine after urination, and acts as a layer of protection for the hands during this process. It is sold as a long strip of perforated paper wrapped around a paperboard core for storage in a dispenser by a toilet. Most modern toilet paper in the developed world is designed to decompose in septic tanks, whereas some other bathroom and facial tissues are not. Toilet paper can be one-, two- or three-ply, or even thicker, meaning that it is either a single sheet or multiple sheets placed back-to-back to make it thicker, softer, stronger and more absorbent.
